Not much compares to a summer wedding in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Warm weather, lush green grass speckled with summer blooms and a stunning golden hour made JoJo + Karl’s wedding at Locke Falls Farm the perfect way to celebrate the next chapter of their love story. Oh! And there was Ice Cream! You can’t get much more ‘summer’ than that!
A morning spent surrounded by friends, with lawn games, laughs and foosball was how JoJo and Karl started their day followed by a first look and private vows so they could spend as much of their wedding day together as possible. Not wanting to perform or to have their entire day feel like a photoshoot, JoJo + Karl opted for casual family and bridal party photos, with members flowing in and out naturally and with a fun camp-style game to keep everything exciting.
After a ceremony filled with heartfelt words and moments, JoJo and Karl moved hand in hand through their cocktail hour, staying connected so they could enjoy their wedding and connect with their friends and family together. In order to ensure they got a photo with everyone, all of the guests were asked to gather together outside of the reception space for a group photo before heading inside for dinner and dancing!
While their guests finished dining, JoJo and Karl slipped out a side door of the reception space and danced and twirled around the adjacent field as the sun cast a golden light over the property. When we were planning out JoJo + Karl’s day, golden hour portraits were not a priority for them, they instead wanted to spend as much time possible with the people they hold nearest and dearest. Keeping this in mind, we kept the portrait session concise and casual, with JoJo and Karl just being themselves.
To cap off the perfect summer evening in the White Mountains and to maintain the authenticity of their wedding day, JoJo and Karl chose to include an ice cream truck as part of their day (a huge win if you ask us!) Guests were so excited to see the truck pull up and the line stretched across the property as Trails End Ice cream slung scoops of New Hampshires best ice cream as quickly as possible. We can’t think of a better way to end a summer wedding in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
TheWildBunch is so thankful to JoJo + Karl for including us in their celebration. We love how honest and authentic they kept their day and how beautiful of a story their day told. If you are interested in learning more about White Mountains weddings, get in touch today!
