If you’re envisioning a secluded elopement in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, look no further than Alexis and Andrew for inspiration. They effortlessly combined the stunning fall colors with the tranquil solitude of a remote peak, making for a truly magical experience.
Alexis and Andrew knew one thing for sure—they wanted to be in the White Mountains. The beauty of nature called to them, but comfort was just as important. No couple wants to feel hot, tired, or sweaty while exchanging their vows.
With this in mind, we worked closely with them to find the perfect trail. It needed to offer breathtaking views, a sense of privacy, and an easy approach. The goal was to keep the effort minimal while still embracing the magic of the outdoors.
On their elopement day, the weather was warm for October. Choosing the right trail made all the difference. It kept everyone comfortable and allowed the focus to stay on what truly mattered—their love and commitment to each other.
As we finished our hike, we stepped into a breathtaking patch of beech trees. Their leaves glowed in full autumn color, creating a perfect setting for Andrew and Alexis’ first look. A quiet trail stretched between them, adding to the anticipation.
On either side, Andrew and Alexis prepared for the moment. They adorned their wedding attire, surrounded by the peaceful embrace of the October forest. The crisp air carried a sense of excitement.
Finally, they stepped onto the trail. Their eyes met in the middle, sharing their first heartfelt moment of the day. It was the beginning of a beautiful elopement, filled with love and unforgettable memories.
Faith is deeply important to Alexis and Andrew. They wanted their elopement day to reflect their beliefs in a meaningful way. To honor this, we set aside time for them to read their favorite Bible passages together.
The mountain we chose was nothing short of breathtaking. It offered sweeping views of the Presidential Mountains, as well as the Carter and Wildcat ranges. Nestled in the White Mountains, this spot was both secluded and easily accessible. It was the perfect setting—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature’s beauty.
As they stood together, the vibrant mid-October foliage stretched out before them. The golden hues of fall created a stunning backdrop for their special moment. A large, hand-built wooden cross stood at the viewpoint, adding even more significance to the day. It was a powerful reminder of their faith and the foundation of their love.
After their quiet moment reading Bible passages, we moved to a new location. This spot offered an even more breathtaking view—perfect for watching the sunset.
During the planning process, Alexis and Andrew shared one of their biggest elopement day wishes. They dreamed of golden hour portraits, bathed in warm, glowing light. This was another reason we chose this location. It provided the best possible backdrop for their vision.
We carefully timed their elopement so that their ceremony and ring exchange would align with the setting sun. As golden hour arrived, the sky transformed into a masterpiece of color. Mother Nature did not disappoint. A soft, radiant light washed over Alexis, Andrew, and the entire White Mountains. As they exchanged heartfelt vows and rings, the entire landscape seemed to glow with them. It was an unforgettable moment, perfectly preserved in time.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky transformed into a breathtaking canvas. Soft pastel blues and pinks stretched across the lingering clouds, creating a dreamlike scene over the New Hampshire mountains.
To celebrate their elopement, Andrew and Alexis popped open the bottle of champagne they had carried up the trail. The gentle pop echoed in the quiet evening air. Together, they sat on a granite bench, which had been carved in to the side of the mountain, soaking in the view. It was their first sunset as a married couple, and pure happiness radiated from them.
As the last light faded and the sky lost its color, we had a special surprise. We brought out lanterns for them to play with, adding a magical touch to the night. The soft glow created stunning, unique images, capturing the joy of their adventure.
Alexis had shared a story with us before the wedding—on a past hike, she had broken her ankle trekking down in the dark. We kept that in mind. The lanterns weren’t just for photos; they were also a perfect way to keep the trail lit and ensure they made it down safely.
From the breathtaking first look amidst vibrant fall foliage to the peaceful moment spent reading Bible passages with a stunning view of the White Mountain National Forest, and culminating in a golden sunset, Alexis and Andrew’s secluded elopement in the White Mountains was nothing short of magical. We are deeply honored to have been part of their intimate adventure and truly grateful for the trust they placed in us to document and preserve such a perfect, unforgettable day.
