White Mountains Elopement Photographers

New Hampshire based, adventure ready

the white mountains are our home

and we we'd love to show you around our favorite places

We're Tiffany and Austin, The Wild Bunch — White Mountains elopement photographers who live right here in the heart of New Hampshire. These trails, these summits, these hidden waterfalls, we're out in them constantly, not just on shoot days. That's the difference between a photographer who visits and one who actually knows these mountains. Whether it's a simple summit to catch a sunrise on or a secluded corner of the woods to call your own, we've explored every corner of the White Mountains and can help guide your elopement experience from beginning to end, curating the perfect adventure for your perfect day.

Begin Your Story

our favorite white mountains locations

Living here in the White Mountains of New Hampshire means we know this region on a different level, not just the famous overlooks that show up on every travel blog, but the quiet ridges, the off-trail ponds, the spots that only reveal themselves after years of exploring. Here are some of the areas we shoot most:

White Mountain National Forest

Franconia Notch

Crawford Notch

Pinkham Notch

Presidential Mountains

Kancamagus Highway

Franconia Notch is one of the most versatile elopement areas in the White Mountains, with completely different looks packed into one corridor. Artist Bluff gives you wide open mountain views after a short hike, Echo Lake delivers that classic still-water reflection shot at golden hour, and Lonesome Lake earns its payoff with a moderate climb to an alpine pond with Franconia Ridge filling the entire skyline. For couples who want to go all in, the Franconia Ridge Trail is one of the finest above-treeline ridge walks in the Northeast — serious hiking, unmatched views, and photos that look like nothing else we shoot. We've shot here at sunrise, sunset, and everything in between, across every season, and it never gets old.

Crawford Notch is one of the most accessible and popular elopement areas in the White Mountains, with a mix of locations that work for just about any couple. Mount Willard delivers a stunning cliff-edge view straight down the notch after a short, easy hike — one of the best payoffs-per-effort trails in New Hampshire. Arethusa Falls, the tallest waterfall in the state, has a wide open base that's perfect for ceremonies and feels tucked away despite being a well-known spot. Sugarloaf adds a quick summit option with sweeping Presidential Range views for couples who want a little more elevation. We shoot here at every time of day and in every season — it's endlessly versatile.

Back to list

Pinkham Notch sits at the base of the Presidential Range and offers some of the most dramatic alpine terrain in the White Mountains. Glen Ellis Falls is a stunning roadside waterfall with a short walk in — powerful, wide, and incredibly photogenic in any season. The Alpine Garden, tucked above treeline on the flanks of Mount Washington, is one of our favorite spots in all of New Hampshire — open tundra, wildflowers in summer, and views that stretch endlessly in every direction. Gorham sits just north of the notch and gives us easy access to quieter, less crowded terrain that still delivers big mountain scenery. We shoot Pinkham at every time of day and love it most when the weather is doing something interesting.

Back to list

The Presidential Range is the most ambitious elopement terrain we shoot in New Hampshire — and some of the most rewarding. The Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail is our most used route up, gaining elevation through forest before breaking above treeline into a landscape that feels completely otherworldly. Lakes of the Clouds sits in a col between Monroe and Washington and is one of those spots that genuinely stops couples in their tracks — two alpine ponds, 360-degree views, and nothing between you and the sky. Mount Monroe adds a quick side summit with views back toward Washington that are some of the best in the range. And the Washington summit itself is the highest point in the Northeast — exposed, dramatic, and unlike anything else we shoot. This is terrain for couples who are comfortable in the mountains and want an elopement that feels genuinely big.

The Kancamagus Highway runs 34 miles through the heart of White Mountain National Forest and is one of the most elopement-friendly stretches of road in New England — pull-offs, trailheads, river access, and overlooks around every bend. Sabbaday Falls, Rocky Gorge, Lower Falls, and the Swift River give you waterfall and river options at almost every fitness level, from a two-minute walk to a short trail through the trees. The Boulder Loop Trail adds an elevated ledge perspective with open mountain views for couples who want a bit more of a hike. The Kancamagus Overlook is one of those spots that earns its place in every fall shoot — layered ridgelines, peak color, and nothing blocking the view. In fall especially, the Kanc is in a league of its own.

With nearly 800,000 acres of protected wilderness, White Mountain National Forest is the backbone of everything we do — and living here gives us access to a level of local knowledge that no visiting photographer can replicate. We know the hidden waterfalls that don't show up on any trail map, the remote backcountry routes that stay quiet even on peak weekends, the alpine ponds tucked behind ridgelines that most people walk right past, and the forest glades where the light does something extraordinary at certain times of year. We choose locations based entirely on your vision — the feeling you want, how much you want to hike, the season — and then we take you somewhere that actually fits, not just somewhere convenient. If you want your elopement to feel genuinely off the beaten path, this is where we shine.

“They took all the thinking out of it and delivered exactly what we were looking for.”

“Looking through our photos brings us right back to how the day felt.”

The White Mountains are stunning in every season, fiery fall foliage in October, snow-covered peaks in winter, wildflowers blooming through spring, and long golden summer days. There's no wrong time to elope here, and we shoot year round so you can plan your day around what moves you most.

Spring

< Back

Spring elopements in the White Mountains feel like everything waking back up at once. Snow still lingers in the alpine zone while the valleys start to turn green, creating this really unique mix of seasons in a single day. Waterfalls run heavy, trails start to open up, and the mountains feel quieter before summer crowds arrive. It is a sweet spot for couples who want a little unpredictability, softer light, and a landscape that still feels a bit wild.

Summer

< Back

Summer elopements in the White Mountains bring long golden evenings, warm alpine air, and endless green ridgelines stretching into the distance. Trails are fully open, wildflowers are in bloom, and mountain summits feel alive with color and energy. It is the season for sunrise hikes, sunset vows, and lingering light that makes everything feel a little more cinematic. Summer has a busier feel, but there are still plenty of quiet pockets if you know where to go.

Fall

< Back

Fall elopements in the White Mountains are all about color on color, with ridgelines burning in reds, oranges, and golds as far as you can see. Crisp air settles in, making every hike feel sharp and alive, and the light turns soft and golden earlier in the day. It is easily the busiest season, but also one of the most iconic for mountain ceremonies and portraits. Everything feels a little more intentional in fall, like the mountains are putting on their best show before winter returns.

Winter

< Back

Winter elopements in the White Mountains feel quiet, stripped down, and incredibly intimate. Snow blankets the mountains and forests, turning familiar trails into something almost otherworldly and still. The cold brings a slower pace, but the payoff is huge with soft light, crisp air, and that deep pink alpenglow glow at sunrise and sunset. It is a season for couples who want solitude, adventure, and a landscape that feels completely their own.

Every White Mountains elopement looks a little different, and that's exactly the point. Once you reach out, we'll get to know you,  your vision, your pace, what kind of day actually feels like you. From there we'll share location ideas based on the season, the light, and what you're after, and you decide what feels right.

On the day itself, we're not just there to take photos. We're your guides, your hype crew, and the people who know exactly where to be when the light does something incredible.

We live here in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. These trails, these summits, these hidden waterfalls are where we spend our lives, not just our shoot days. We know which trails are crowded by 9am and which ones stay quiet all day. We know how fast weather moves across the Presidential Range and when to pivot. We know where the light hits in September versus January, the golden hour ridge lines, the hidden overlooks, the tucked-away spots that only reveal themselves after years of exploring. This isn't just a place we visit, it's home.

Whether you want a two-hour adventure session or a full-day elopement with vows, flowers, and a picnic on a summit, we can make it happen. We work with both intimate elopements — just the two of you — and small gatherings of up to 20 guests. All you have to do is show up and be present with each other, we'll take care of the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

We don't want to hIke, can we still elope?

Such a good question! and the answer is yes! You can absolutely elope without setting foot on a hiking trail. We have spent our lives exploring every nook and cranny of the White Mountains and have tons of locations that are perfect for an elopement experience with little to no effort required!

What do we do about an officiant

We've got you covered! Austin is an ordained member of the Universal Life Church and can officiate ceremonies in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and most other places! If you would prefer to have an officiant of a different denomination, we have include a list of several in our Vendor Recommendations guide that gets sent to all our couples!

Is it okay if we bring a few guests?

Absolutely. Many couples choose to include a small group of guests while still keeping the day intimate and intentional. We’ll help you think through locations, logistics, and flow so everyone feels comfortable and included without taking away from the experience you want.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes! We love when our couples bring their dog(s)! We spend our free-time scouring the White Mountains for off the beaten path trails that are friendly for our reactive dog, so we know all the best spots to bring your 4-legged friend(s).

What happens if the weather changes?

We plan for that from the start. Weather is always part of being outdoors, especially in the places we work, so we build backup plans and alternate options ahead of time. If conditions change, we’ll help guide decisions calmly, whether that means adjusting timing, choosing a different location, or leaning into what the day brings.

Do you help with timelines, vows, or ceremony ideas?

Yes, and this is a big part of how we support you. We help shape timelines that feel natural and unrushed, making sure there’s space to be present instead of moving from one thing to the next. We’re also happy to talk through ceremony flow, vow timing, and ideas that feel true to you, whether that’s something simple and private or more structured with guests involved. Our goal is to help the day move in a way that feels easy and intentional.

Do you help with permits or location rules?

Yes. We help you understand what’s required, where to apply, and what rules need to be followed for your chosen location. While permits need to be secured by you, we guide you through the process and help make sure nothing is overlooked.

Can you help us connect with other elopement-friendly vendors?

Definitely. We love working with planners, officiants, florists, and other vendors who understand intentional, experience-driven celebrations. Every couple we work with recieves our full Elopement Vendor Recommendations guide.

Do you travel?

Yes. While we’re based in New England, we regularly travel for elopements, weddings, and adventure sessions. We take an annual road trip out west each year and love documenting experiences in new places. If you’re planning something outside of New England, we’re always happy to talk through what that could look like.
